Natural Mosquito Protection Review
We live in Central Iowa surrounded by woods and ponds. Mosquitoes are a huge problem and will be hitting soon.
There is a way to control mosquitoes naturally in your yard safely. With all my sensitivities, I haven’t found too many mosquito prevention products that I can use. After researching ways to prevent mosquitoes from carrying us away after dusk, I found the mosquitoes hate garlic.
First and foremost, we treated the yard last year. I know it sounds extreme, but we were having company and couldn’t stand to be outside past dusk. Something had to be done. I’d urge you to look at the reviews, read comments, and look at the science.
Now we purchased the gallon size of this to do our acreage, but this stuff really worked! At first when we sprayed, the scent smelled like wonderful garlic bread in the yard, but quickly faded. My husband worried because it didn’t smell that long, how could it possibly work…
Mosquito Barrier is made from a strong garlic (stronger than you can find in the stores). The mosquitoes have a very keen sense of smell and can detect odor as much as 10,000 times better than humans. The effectiveness of the spray lasts about a month. You will need to reapply, but it’s easy and won’t harm the plants, pets, kids, or you.
Really those commercial sprays rid your yard of mosquitoes, but is it good for me? Absolutely not.
Try the safer alternative…you might even have to have garlic bread for dinner:)
