Be Your Own Advocate for Natural Fibromyalgia Treatment

Published by Fogle40 on

Have you tried to track food and activity, etc. to determine how you can naturally treat fibromyalgia pain?

Over the years I have come to believe doctors cannot really spend enough time with you to really “know” you and understand your illness.  They are there to treat symptoms, run tests, and get you moving on out so the next patient can be seen.  Crass, yet reality.  Can they fully comprehend and understand what you’re dealing with day in and day out in only a short appointment?  Maybe, but you live it day in and day out.  Did you thoroughly explain everything?  I know I usually forget something, even with a note.

I have learned over the years to only change one thing at a time in case I react to it.  I have also found it helpful to look back and see if I can find patterns I may not have even considered.  Did you always feel horrible after eating something or being somewhere the day before?  Did your sleep reflect your activity?  Does your activity affect your pain the next day?  Does focusing on gratefulness have an effect on your pain or mood?  I will be honest, it took keeping track of everything for me to get a handle on what does and doesn’t cause me to flare.

I have developed a check sheet you can find at Etsy and print off at home, put in a folder or notebook and keep a record of your health easily.  For me it has been invaluable.

I know is good for me and will be for you too.  Who would have thought that if I exercise or do something very strenuous, I feel better the next day?  I wouldn’t have without this.  What will you discover?
