Celery Juice, Is It Good For Me?

Published by Fogle40 on

Celery juicing for me has been life-changing.  If you get the sweats and flush before you have to urinate, you need to read this. I found a solution.

You may have heard about Anthony Williams, the Medical Medium, and his suggestions to use fresh celery juice every day.  He touts celery juice as a powerful medicinal herb which helps flush toxins, restore adrenals, kills viruses, fights autoimmune diseases, and aids in digestion.  If you haven’t heard about the global celery juice movement, I’d suggest starting with Anthony’s books.

I have read three Medical Medium’s books.  All have been eye opening for me as I struggle to heal.  The benefits are very real and his insight is incredible.  I found myself in some of his descriptions of people with systems out of sync and struggling for survival.  My migraines, fibromyalgia, and chemical sensitivities were described in his book along with the weird stuff I deal with.   I believe his insight into  the Epstein Barr virus wreaking havoc with so many is life-changing.

So as directed in the books, I began juicing celery and drinking about 16 oz. on an empty stomach first thing in the morning.  I was fairly consistent for a couple of months.  Then I got lazy, tired of the mess, and quit juicing.

What I discovered is amazing and a little personal, so hang in here.

I’ve googled over the last couple of years why I have a hot flash when I have to pee.  Nothing informative was ever really showed up, just lots of other people looking for the same answers.  The temperature swings, full-body sweating and flushing is real.  I wouldn’t ever really feel like I had to go to the bathroom, I was just tuned that when I started getting hot and sweating, I needed to go.  The act of urinating would stop the sweats.  It’s horrible in the middle of the night when you are so hot and sweaty it wakes you up and your pillow is soaked.

You might think I was experiencing menopausal symptoms, which was suggested to me.  However, hormone testing indicated that was not the reason behind all the sweating and flushing.  I’m beyond all that at this point in my life. But the feelings were much the same.  I even had one doctor tell me it was just plain weird.

For example, I could be holding my husband’s hand and he could feel me getting hot and sweaty and he’d know I needed to go to the bathroom!  It was miserable.  I’ve endured this for years.

I am very allergic to the natural candida in our bodies.  Ordinarily, I would be exposed to something which would trigger candida growth or over time my diet would allow the candida to flourish.  So on a periodic basis I would use diflucan to clear the yeast overgrowth, but I know the medication is hard on my body.  The last time I’d used the medication, I realized that I wasn’t sweating before I had to pee.  AMAZING discovery in my opinion.

So back to the celery juice…after I stopped juicing for a couple weeks, guess what woke me up in the middle of the night?  The sweats.  I began to notice the temperature fluctuations and sweating was happening every time I had to urinate again.

I’m back to juicing now and will continue.  I believe consuming the celery juice has had a profound impact.   Sweating and flushing when you have to pee is awful and seems to be a signal to me that my gut is out of balance.

The question I always ask myself, “But is it good for me?”  Obviously drinking the celery juice is good for me.  Imagine if it can do this for me, what may it cure for you?  I’d urge you to read the books, juice the stuff and give it a whirl.

It doesn’t taste terrible, in fact after a few days you kind of crave it.  Is it messy?  Yes I think so.  I hate to use the Vitamix first thing in the morning, it’s so blasted loud.  You have to either use a juicer or blender and you end up with pulp leftover.  If you use the blender, you are better off squeezing the juice out of the pulp after whatever pours off is finished draining.  With the juicer, you have to clean it and disassemble it.  But, compared to the constant sweating, it’s so worth it!
